As a Christmas gift, Antoine offered us a weekend in a 'rustic treehouse' located in the Eastern Townships...

Our 'Paradis Perché'

It was an entirely romantic weekend. We arrived late Friday evening and woke to this incredible view:

In the distance we can see Jay Peak, Vermont

Equipped with an old-fashioned wood stove and basic kitchen supplies, we were able to make some simple meals and keep warm:

Tea (that took about 10 minutes to boil!) and breakfast pitas

On Saturday, we hiked one of the trails at the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton, at lunch at the summit of Mount Sutton and relaxed at a spa... bliss.  

Sunday we got up early so as to fit in a full day of skiing (one of my favorite ski hills) before heading back to Montreal. All in all, quite the idyllic mini-getaway.
